Grasshopper Manufacture has just announced the extensive list of platforms for the highly anticipated remaster, Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
The news comes after the initial announcement last June, which took many gamers by surprise. The game, considered an underrated gem by its developers, hasn’t seen a modern release in over a decade, having been removed from digital stores back in 2021.
Originally debuting on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011, Shadows of the Damned was a collaborative effort between Grasshopper Manufacture and publisher Electronic Arts.

Directed by Suda51, with inputs from Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil fame and Akira Yamaoka, the composer behind Silent Hill, the game boasted an impressive lineup of creative talent.
However, its journey to completion was riddled with challenges, including reported production issues and creative clashes with Electronic Arts.
Despite receiving mixed reviews upon release, the game has gradually garnered a dedicated fanbase over the years, earning it the status of a cult classic.
After a public demo at PAX East, Grasshopper Manufacture has confirmed the extensive list of platforms for Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
The remaster will mark the game’s debut on both last-gen and current-gen consoles, including PlayStation and Xbox systems
Additionally, it will make its long-awaited PC debut via Steam and will also launch on the Nintendo Switch, marking its first appearance on a Nintendo platform. Fans can now add the game to their wishlists on respective digital storefronts.
While an exact release date is yet to be announced, director Suda51 has assured fans that Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered is slated for a 2024 release.
The official Grasshopper Manufacture Twitter account has echoed this sentiment, indicating that the remaster is on track for its anticipated launch later this year.
Shadows of the Damned is a third-person shooter akin to Resident Evil 4, following the journey of Garcia Hotspur as he ventures into the underworld to rescue his girlfriend from the clutches of the demonic lord Fleming.
Known for its blend of comedic horror, gory humor, and cheeky innuendos, fans are eagerly awaiting the remaster to experience this cult classic on modern systems.
