Selena Gomez is actively engaged in promoting mental health awareness.
The 31-year-old actress, known for her role in “Only Murders in the Building,” organized a special event on Wednesday, May 1, where she shared valuable resources for causes close to her heart.
Captioning an Instagram carousel, Gomez expressed her gratitude, saying,
“Our 3rd annual @rarebeauty Mental Health Summit has me leaving inspired by the next generation, filled with so much hope, and grateful to each of you for being on this meaningful journey with us.”
In one of the pictures, Gomez stood in front of a wall adorned with information about the company, including a note highlighting the remarkable achievement of raising $7 million in 2023 alone.
“Mental health means so much to me and I’m honored we get to share this mission with the world together. Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to use their voice for good!” her caption elaborated.
During the event, Gomez engaged in conversation with U.S. Surgeon General Vice Admiral Vivek Murthy, who later shared his thoughts on social media.
“Honored to join my friend @SelenaGomez for @rarebeauty’s Mental Health Summit,” he wrote.
According to Murthy, their discussions centered around the significance of social connection and the role of communities, like the one Selena has cultivated with Rare Beauty and the Rare Impact Fund, in promoting self-acceptance, support, and healing.
