The Early Days Collection promises to transport players back to the genesis of Yu-Gi-Oh gaming with a selection of some of the earliest titles in the series.
Among these revered classics, Konami has confirmed the inclusion of Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists. Originally introduced for the Game Boy Color in 2000, this title remained exclusive to Japan until its forthcoming debut as part of the collection.
In addition to this nostalgic journey, Konami has unveiled two other intriguing projects within the Yu-Gi-Oh universe. The first is a venture into virtual reality with Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links, a mobile and PC VR game.
Here, players will immerse themselves in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh like never before, encountering the franchise’s iconic monsters in stunning 3D detail. Meanwhile, the second project introduces an innovative twist to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, with plans to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into the gameplay experience.
This groundbreaking initiative allows for the integration of externally created AI opponents, with the AI evolving and adapting based on its dueling experiences. However, the official integration of this AI project into the game itself is yet to be confirmed by Konami.
