Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, co-founders of Rocksteady, have established a new game development studio in London named Hundred Star Games. The studio, as revealed by its Great Place to Work profile featured on Polygon, is gearing up to produce AAA titles and aims to employ a team of 100 developers.
Describing itself as a video game start-up located in East London, Hundred Star Games envisions assembling a select group of industry veterans and emerging talents, totaling 100 individuals. Their commitment is centered on crafting cutting-edge gaming experiences that aim to inspire and captivate players globally.
The directors of the newly formed studio, Hill and Walker, are officially listed on Endole. Additionally, the company’s entry on Companies House outlines its involvement in both the development and publishing of computer games. This dual focus suggests that Hundred Star Games may be considering self-publishing its creations or venturing into the publishing of works by other developers.
Despite the formal announcement of the studio still pending, Hundred Star Games appears to be in motion, having already hired 25 staff members according to its Great Place to Work profile. The studio’s website is live and actively accepting applications from potential candidates.
The studio’s ethos emphasizes innovation as its core principle, with a dedication to pushing boundaries, embracing diversity, and fostering a vibrant gaming community. The unique company culture they promote encourages leadership at all levels, accountability, team support, vulnerability, and connection within the gaming industry.
Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker concluded their tenure at Rocksteady in October 2022, with their departure taking effect the following December.
