WWE icon Rikishi recently took to social media, sharing a photo alongside fellow Hall of Famer Lita in anticipation of the upcoming Elimination Chamber: Perth Premium Live Event.
Both legends, Rikishi and Lita, have etched their names in the annals of World Wrestling Entertainment, achieving significant success and earning spots in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 and 2014, respectively.
The 58-year-old Rikishi took to his Instagram stories to capture the reunion with Lita, building excitement for the upcoming Elimination Chamber event slated to unfold in Perth, Australia.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Rikishi Fatu Off The Top, the legendary Samoan wrestler delved into the career of a real-life Bloodline member, Jacob Fatu.
Rikishi hinted at a potential shift to the UFC for Jacob, outlining a strategic “B Plan” due to the saturation of Samoan talent in the wrestling industry. Rikishi expressed confidence in Jacob’s potential success in the wrestling world but also considered the option of UFC as a unique avenue.
“You know, right off the bat, after I had that first match with him, I already knew that if this kid sticks with it and not put himself in harm’s way and just be fully committed that he’s going to be somebody in this business. But we also had a ‘B Plan.’ And the ‘B Plan’ was this: because there were so many Samoans already in there, and the ‘B Plan’ was this… we did our research, and out of the whole Bloodline, there was never a Bloodline that went to UFC. Now you and I know, Joey, Jacob is a humble cat, but you also see too, when that switch clicks on Jacob, oh forget it, man.”
The discussion around Rikishi potentially returning to WWE for a matchup between Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania XL has stirred among fans.
The future plans for The Usos, and whether Rikishi will play a role, remains a topic of speculation within the WWE community.
