Veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter shared his prediction regarding the Women’s World Championship match at WWE Elimination Chamber, suggesting that Nia Jax might dominate and defeat Rhea Ripley for the title.
Apter emphasized the idea that Nia Jax has squashed Ripley before and could do so again at the upcoming premium live event. Apter expressed his belief that Nia Jax would emerge victorious at Elimination Chamber, leading to a potential rematch at WrestleMania.
He suggested that the storyline might evolve with Rhea Ripley transitioning into a fan-favorite heel character, seeking to reclaim the title from Nia Jax.
“It is time for me to go into my grand wizard and say that Nia Jax has squashed Rhea Ripley several times and at the Elimination Chamber, Nia Jax will squash Rhea Ripley and take that belt. And you know what? Rhea Ripley in character won’t say it, but she fears Nia Jax. And I think Nia Jax will take the belt, and then man oh man, WrestleMania? The rematch where Rhea Ripley, who now becomes a fan-favorite heel, gets the opportunity to win the belt back from Nia Jax.”
In another perspective, wrestling veteran Vince Russo, on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, expressed his view that Rhea Ripley appeared unnecessarily weak in a match against Ivy Nile. Russo humorously commented that anyone, including himself, could seemingly defeat Rhea Ripley based on recent portrayals.
“Oh, I believe anybody could take Rhea out after tonight. I may make a comeback and take Rhea out (…) After watching tonight, and especially when they’re putting over that Ivy is 5’2″, the announcers are actually putting that over, and then she goes 50-50 with Rhea Ripley. Anybody, anybody, can beat Rhea Ripley now,” he said.
The discussions highlight varying opinions on Rhea Ripley’s recent bookings and the potential outcomes of her matches in WWE.
