Wrestling veteran Matt Morgan has weighed in on the potential Women’s World Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch at WWE WrestleMania XL.
Expressing his desire to see Ripley dominate Lynch in the match, Morgan emphasized Ripley’s believability as a dominant force and cautioned against diluting her character by having her sell too much.
On his Gigantic Pop podcast, Morgan stated, “I would like to see… I love Becky to death. I love everything about her. I love her character, her promos, everything. Just it will mean so much if Rhea just straight-up mauls her somehow.”
Morgan’s preference for Ripley’s dominance in the match stems from his admiration for her character’s badass and dominant qualities.
Discussing the potential challenge from Jade Cargill, who recently joined WWE after her AEW contract expired, Morgan expressed interest in seeing Cargill dethrone Ripley for the Women’s World Championship.
However, he emphasized the importance of ample build-up for the match, highlighting the need for sufficient time and storyline development.
Jade Cargill made her WWE in-ring debut last month, participating in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Rumors suggest that Cargill may compete in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, with the possibility of earning a shot at Rhea Ripley’s title at WrestleMania XL.
As the road to WrestleMania unfolds, fans await the confirmation of matches and storylines, eager to witness the culmination of rivalries and the crowning of champions at the grand event.
