WWE Superstars often give glimpses into their personal lives, and Rhea Ripley is no exception. The bold heel, currently holding the Women’s World Champion title, recently made another public display of affection.
While Ripley’s storyline may connect her with Dominik Mysterio, in reality, she’s engaged to Buddy Matthews since last August.
The former AEW star, who met Ripley during their time together in WWE from 2013 to 2021, shares a close bond with his fiancée.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Ripley shared a snapshot of the couple enjoying some downtime together, labeling Matthews as her love and best friend.
“My Love & My Best Friend 💖✨ @snm_buddy,”
she captioned the post.
The wrestling duo was spotted at UFC 299 in Miami over the weekend, where they witnessed Jack Della Maddalena’s victory over Gilbert Burns, and cheered for Sean O’Malley, who successfully defended his UFC Bantamweight Championship against Marlon Vera in the main event.
Meanwhile, anticipation builds for WrestleMania 40, where Ripley will defend her title against Becky Lynch. With fans speculating about potential outcomes, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus shared her thoughts, acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the matchup.
“I think Becky needs the win, I think she needs it for her, she needs to prove it to herself… But I don’t want Mami to not be champ again, so it’s a bit of a toss-up,”
Stratus commented in an interview with Gorilla Position.
Although Lynch and Ripley have a history of facing each other in various matches, including their memorable encounter on WWE NXT in November 2019, their upcoming clash at WrestleMania 40 adds a new dimension to their rivalry, leaving fans eager to witness the outcome.
