However, one enthusiastic fan’s attempt to take a selfie with Orton ended in an unexpected tumble, as the fan accidentally collapsed to the floor.
A video of the incident, captured by Orton’s wife Kim, shows the fan falling down in front of him. Orton can be seen throwing his hands up in a gesture of innocence, indicating that he had nothing to do with the fan’s fall. Fortunately, the fan appeared to be alright despite the sudden tumble.
During the event, Orton was shown on the screen, and the crowd responded with a loud cheer. He also had a moment of interaction with Joaquin Buckley, a UFC fighter from St. Louis, who rushed out of the cage to hug Orton after his win against Nursulton Ruziboev via unanimous decision. The crowd at the Enterprise Center cheered in approval of the heartwarming gesture between the two St. Louis natives.
Orton’s appearance at the UFC event comes on the heels of his recent victory over AJ Styles in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. He is set to face Carmelo Hayes in the quarterfinals, with the winner advancing to the final, which will take place at a Premium Live Event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on May 25.
