Ubisoft has unveiled its forthcoming endeavors for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, hinting at a wave of fresh content and modes for the acclaimed Metroidvania game, all slated to arrive via free updates in the near future.
Since its debut in January, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has garnered significant praise from critics. Christian Donlan of Eurogamer lauded it as a “real delight,” praising its homage to both its genre and its own legacy in his four-star review. Despite reports suggesting it may not have achieved commercial success to the same extent, Ubisoft is evidently not ready to close the book on this title just yet.
In a brief video message circulated on social media (as reported by VGC), Mounir Radi, the director behind Lost Crown, expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support. “It means the world to us seeing you enjoy your time with the game just as much as we do,” he remarked. “Which is why, I’m especially pleased to let you know that we are far from being done.”
Radi revealed that the development team has “some cool plans for the coming months,” promising free updates that will introduce “more content” and fresh modes for players to “challenge, explore, and enjoy.” The first of these updates is poised to arrive “soon,” with Radi suggesting that players might want to hone their skills with Artaban and attempt to conquer the game in Immortals mode beforehand.
“These skills,” he pointed out, “could come in very handy.”
