Nia Jax’s return to the WWE ring in late September 2023 marked a significant moment in her career, following her surprise appearance as a Royal Rumble entrant earlier that year.
This comeback came nearly two years after her contract release. Since her return, Jax has been dominating the competition, securing victories in 18 out of 23 matches.
Currently locked in a heated rivalry with Rhea Ripley, Jax is poised to challenge The Eradicator for the Women’s World Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 24, hosted in Ripley’s native Australia.
Expressing her determination and confidence, Jax recently took to Instagram, teasing her upcoming title match and potentially setting her sights on future championships. Sharing a photo showcasing her formidable presence, she captioned it with a succinct message: “Gold is my color.”
The outcome of the Women’s World Championship bout at Elimination Chamber will determine the titleholder who will defend the coveted championship at WrestleMania 40 against the victor of the Women’s Chamber match.
In light of recent developments surrounding allegations against former WWE boss Vince McMahon, Jax, in a recent interview with Nick Hausman, remained steadfast and focused on her professional goals. Asked about the impact of such allegations on her mindset, particularly ahead of major events like the Royal Rumble, Jax emphasized her commitment to her craft.
“Oh, it doesn’t, you know, I’m all business, and, you know, this business is built on hard work and dedication, and that’s what every single wrestler in this room is doing right now, and so we just move forward. And it’s, you know, and we’re gonna put on an amazing show,” she asserted.
Jax’s impressive performance in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble further solidified her status as a force to be reckoned with. As the 19th entrant, she showcased her dominance, lasting over 20 minutes and securing eight eliminations before being eliminated herself by Jade Cargill.
