This week on WWE Monday Night RAW, fans witnessed the debut of current champion Roxanne Perez, the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, in a post-WrestleMania XL spectacle.
Roxanne, dubbed “The Prodigy,” secured her second NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Stand and Deliver, triumphing over Lyra Valkyria in a thrilling contest.
Her appearance on RAW marks the second surprise crossover from NXT, following Ilja Dragunov’s involvement in the opening match against Shinsuke Nakamura.
In her debut match on the RAW stage, Roxanne Perez faced off against former NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell. Waste no time, Perez initiated the action with a swift punch as soon as the bell rang.
Subsequently, she attempted to secure a rear-naked chokehold after leaping onto Hartwell’s back. Despite Hartwell’s resilience, Perez executed a series of impactful maneuvers, including a dropkick and a Russian Leg Sweep.
However, the match took a turn when Hartwell rallied with a barrage of clotheslines, only to be met with an uppercut in the corner.
Amidst the escalating tension, Candice LeRae, positioned ringside, intervened by tripping Perez and causing a distraction that allowed Perez to capitalize by raking Hartwell’s eye.
Undeterred, Roxanne Perez unleashed her signature finishing move, the Pop Rox, securing victory via pinfall.
The clash between Perez and Hartwell not only showcased Perez’s prowess but also hinted at potential future storylines and rivalries on RAW’s women’s division.
As Roxanne Perez transitions from NXT to the main roster, fans eagerly anticipate her further impact on the WWE.
