As WrestleMania season approaches, Shawn Michaels is eyeing potential roster upgrades, and it appears a new addition might be in the cards.
Kamille, the former NWA World Women’s Champion and current free agent, is attracting interest from both AEW and WWE. Since the expiration of her contract in January, Kamille has engaged in talks with Shawn Michaels, who has shown appreciation for her work.
In a recent interview with WrestlingNews.co, Kamille discussed the myriad possibilities in the wrestling world.
She emphasized the unpredictable nature of the industry, citing CM Punk’s return to WWE as an example.
Kamille expressed gratitude for Michaels taking the time to review her matches and promos, revealing her surprise at discovering Michaels is a big fan.
“Never say never is great in professional wrestling. I mean, look at CM Punk going back to WWE. Literally never say never. Once again, I just appreciated so much that he’s even taking the time out to look at my work, to enjoy my matches, watch my promos, stuff like that. I mean, you know, I had conversations with Shawn Michaels and I had no clue that Shawn Michaels had any idea who in the world Kamille was and found out he was a big fan. Stuff like that blew my mind. And it was super humbling and amazing.”
Despite attracting interest from various promotions, Kamille is yet to make a decision about her next move.
While she has experience working in AEW, the allure of WWE, especially under the guidance of Shawn Michaels in NXT, presents an intriguing prospect. Kamille affirmed her readiness to make a decision but clarified that she has not met Shawn Michaels in person.
“No, I’ve never been backstage or anything. I was backstage at AEW because I was visiting friends and whatnot.”
The wrestling community awaits Kamille’s decision, anticipating how her star will shine in her chosen promotion.
