Lainey Wilson made a striking entrance, showcasing her signature country style on the red carpet at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7.
The “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” songstress arrived at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, adorned with nods to her down-home roots, setting the stage for one of the night’s leading nominees.
Alongside Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, and Megan Moroney also boast three nominations each at this year’s ceremony.
Thirty-one-year-old Wilson arrived fashionably early, surprising photographers with her ensemble. It featured a metallic silver top paired flawlessly with fitted black-and-silver polka-dotted bootcut pants. Completing her sophisticated country chic look was a classic black wide-brimmed cowgirl hat.
Just two months after clinching her first Grammy Award in February for Best Country Album with “Bell Bottom Country,” Wilson finds herself in the spotlight once again at the CMT Awards.
This time, she’s nominated for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for her “Watermelon Moonshine” music video, as well as for her featured performance in Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real’s “More Than Friends” video in the Collaborative Video of the Year category.
Beyond her nominations, the “Heart Like a Truck” crooner holds a special role in this year’s event. Organizers recently revealed that Wilson will be part of an all-star tribute honoring the late country icon Toby Keith, who passed away in February at 62 after battling stomach cancer.
Alongside Brooks & Dunn and Sammy Hagar, Wilson will pay homage to Keith’s legacy, ensuring an unforgettable moment at the ceremony.
