During a fierce encounter with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria, Cora Jade sustained a significant injury, tearing her ACL. This injury sidelined her indefinitely, disrupting plans for her return.
Notably, Jade had been absent from television for an extended period following her intense clash with Dana Brooke in a Kendo stick match back on the July 25, 2023, edition of NXT.

According to insights from Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, WWE had been gearing up to reunite the formidable duo of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in NXT. Unfortunately, Jade’s ACL tear in January thwarted these plans, leaving fans eagerly awaiting her recovery.
In a revealing tweet, Roxanne Perez expressed her desire to headline WrestleMania alongside Cora Jade. Despite past betrayals and conflicts, Perez emphasized a hopeful future for their rivalry.
In an exclusive chat with Wrestling’s Riju Dasgupta, Perez envisioned a prolonged rivalry with Jade, culminating in a WrestleMania main event showdown.
“I would love to wrestle Cora Jade for years and years. One day, I truly feel we are going to be headlining WrestleMania. So, yeah, we are the future, and this is why everybody should be watching NXT because we are the stars of tomorrow,”
Perez shared in the interview.
