This Friday marks the start of this year’s WWE Draft, kicking off on SmackDown and concluding next Monday on RAW.
Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch recently revealed that Seth Rollins underwent surgery after WrestleMania, where he lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre. Since then, Rollins has been off television to recover from a torn meniscus.
Surprisingly, despite his injury, Rollins is listed in the draft pool for Friday’s SmackDown, as announced during WWE’s The Bump.
In another update, wrestling legend Vince Russo shared his top pick for the Draft during Wrestling’s Writing with Russo.
He named Gunther as his selection, though he acknowledged the need to rebuild his character after Gunther’s loss to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL.
Rollins, the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, won the title by defeating AJ Styles at Night of Champions 2023. Styles, now aiming for Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed Title, will challenge him next month at Backlash in France.
