The 32-year-old grappling sensation suffered a significant setback when she tore her ACL during a fierce showdown against NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria back on February 13, sidelining her from action indefinitely within the realm of the gold and white brand.
Following a successful surgical procedure last month, Shotzi took to her Instagram Stories today, sharing a video showcasing the progress of her leg’s range of motion, offering reassurance to her legion of supporters.
Reflecting on Shotzi’s trajectory within WWE, legendary wrestler Mick Foley has voiced sentiments suggesting that the Stamford-based company might have overlooked the full potential of the dynamic performer.
Foley, expressing his admiration for Shotzi on an episode of Foley is Pod, lamented the missed opportunities, suggesting that WWE could have maximized her impact further.
He fondly reminisced about a time when he envisioned her as a potential winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, highlighting her unique character and undeniable talent.
“Shotzi! I don’t understand why they sidelined her tank. They had so much potential with her. It seems they’re recognizing it more now, but she’s such a charming character, you know? She’s someone with immense potential. I even had my fingers crossed for her to win the [Royal] Rumble a couple of years ago. Winning the Rumble is a bold statement, a sign of the company’s faith in a talent and an invitation for fans to invest emotionally,”
