The news of McMichael’s hospitalization surfaced through Jarrett Payton, a former NFL player, who appealed for prayers for McMichael’s recovery as he was swiftly admitted to the emergency room due to suspected pneumonia. Payton took to Twitter, sharing,

McMichael’s health woes are not novel, considering his age of 66 and his ongoing battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease.
