Renowned wrestling personality Jim Cornette didn’t hold back his criticism of Nia Jax’s recent main event match against Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
In Perth this past Saturday, Jax aimed to dethrone Ripley for the Women’s World Championship but fell short in her endeavor, failing to secure the coveted title.
During an episode of the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette shared his sentiments about the match, particularly emphasizing his sympathy for Rhea Ripley.
He highlighted the challenging situation Ripley faced, having to work with Nia Jax, whose in-ring abilities he sharply criticized. Cornette remarked that Ripley must have found it daunting to execute the match smoothly given Jax’s history of botched performances.
“I felt so bad for Rhea Ripley. She gets to the main event in a stadium in front of a crowd like that in her home country, but the other half of the Faustian bargain is that she has to have a match with an almost immobile, untalented, completely charismaless performer who’s gonna botch it up right and left.”
Nia Jax Returns to WWE RAW
Following her defeat at Elimination Chamber, Nia Jax made a dramatic return to WWE RAW, signaling her determination to rebound from her loss.
In a notable segment, Jax launched a surprise attack on Becky Lynch, sending a clear message to the Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, that she wasn’t backing down. Later in the night, Jax faced Liv Morgan in a one-on-one encounter.
The match ended abruptly when Becky Lynch interfered, assaulting Jax and prompting a disqualification. The altercation quickly escalated into a chaotic brawl between the two competitors, underscoring the intensifying tensions within the WWE women’s division.
As the road to WrestleMania XL unfolds, the aftermath of Jax’s return and the evolving dynamics among the female Superstars on RAW promise to be intriguing storylines to watch.
