Elden Ring has recently added a new DLC listing to its Steam page, hinting at the possibility of the upcoming “Shadow of the Erdtree” DLC. This update, first spotted and shared by Ziostorm on X, was noted on SteamDB, where the DLC is currently unnamed and listed as “SteamDB Unknown App 2778580.” Speculations are high that FromSoftware may soon announce a release date for this expansion.
The Steam page for Elden Ring already lists other DLCs, including a digital artbook, soundtrack, and an Adventure Guide. “Shadow of the Erdtree” was first announced by FromSoftware in February of the previous year, but details about its release have been sparse.
A recent collaboration between Elden Ring’s publisher, Bandai Namco, and Thrustmaster suggested that new controllers, timed to coincide with the “Shadow of the Erdtree” release, would arrive in February.
This new DLC addition marks the first significant update to Elden Ring since its launch. If the speculations hold true, the DLC would be releasing approximately two years after Elden Ring’s initial debut. FromSoftware’s parent company, Kadokawa, reported last November that the development of the DLC expansion was progressing smoothly.
