In a recent revelation, Drew McIntyre expressed his brand preferences for the WWE draft and named two prominent WWE stars he desires to share the stage with.
In a newly released video by WWE, the seasoned wrestler disclosed his openness to any brand placement in the draft.
However, McIntyre expressed a particular desire to join the same brand as Sheamus and CM Punk due to lingering issues with both wrestlers.
“I don’t care. As long as I get drafted to where CM Punk is, and maybe where Sheamus is so I can actually watch his back because the idiot needs to get his head screwed on right. Then… yeah. I don’t care about anyone else’s business, I just care about mine,” he stated.
The Scottish Warrior’s recent journey culminated in a victory over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL, crowning him the World Heavyweight Champion. Nonetheless, his triumph was marred by a distraction caused by CM Punk, leading to Damian Priest capitalizing on the opportunity and clinching the championship.
Adding fuel to the fire, another WWE star, Damian Priest, took a jab at McIntyre during a segment on WWE’s The Bump.
The reigning World Heavyweight Champion dismissed McIntyre’s opinions, criticizing him for incessant complaints and a streak of losses.
“Not if it’s not true. I could care less about what Drew says. Drew’s been talking for months. That’s all he does is talk. He’s forgot how to deliver, and that’s why he lost at WrestleMania, that’s why he lost on RAW. The old Drew McIntyre, the one that he always talks about, when he had his moment but there was no fans, that guy handled business. This guy, all he does is talk, and complain, and whine, and then he loses,” remarked Priest.
McIntyre’s brand preferences and ongoing rivalries not only add depth to his character but also set the stage for compelling narratives within the WWE universe.
