In a recent conversation with American influencer Matan Even, former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz engaged in a hypothetical discussion about a controversial matchup involving a disabled woman fighter and former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill.
Even proposed a scenario where a disabled lightweight woman would face Hill, a light heavyweight man, in a fight. He questioned Cruz about the appropriateness of such a matchup, suggesting that Hill would have the incentive of a $100 million prize to win against the handicapped woman.
Cruz responded skeptically, questioning the ethics and fairness of pitting individuals with such different physical attributes against each other. The conversation also veered into U.S. politics, with speculation about whether President Joe Biden would fund the disabled fighter’s training camp using taxpayer money.

Deiveson Figueiredo Calls Out Dominick Cruz for UFC 303
Former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo expressed his desire to fight Dominick Cruz at UFC 303, scheduled for June 29.
Figueiredo, now competing in the bantamweight division, considers Cruz a dream opponent and hopes to face him on the card headlined by Conor McGregor. Despite Cruz being ranked below Figueiredo in the division, the Brazilian fighter is enthusiastic about the potential matchup.
In an interview with Canal Encarada, Figueiredo emphasized his eagerness to fight Cruz:
“People are throwing some names at me, but what I really want is to fulfill a dream of mine, which is to face Dominick Cruz. For me, it would be sensational to fight on the [Conor] McGregor card in June. That depends on [Cruz] signing the contract, and I’ll be ready. I want to fight him. I want to make this fight happen.”
While Figueiredo’s callout may seem unconventional given Cruz’s lower ranking, he remains determined to secure this matchup and showcase his skills against a respected veteran like Cruz.
