Former AEW sensation Jade Cargill made quite the entrance onto the SmackDown scene this week, leaving a mark by taking out a member of Damage CTRL.
As the newest addition to the blue brand’s women’s roster, Cargill’s arrival was accompanied by anticipation and intrigue.
Introduced by General Manager Nick Aldis, Cargill was heralded as an exclusive member of SmackDown going forward. Taking the mic, the 31-year-old wasted no time, issuing a warning to the entire women’s division, signaling that a storm had indeed arrived on Friday nights.

However, not everyone was bowled over by Cargill’s debut. One-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Asuka, took to Twitter to offer her perspective.
Mocking Cargill’s “storm” promo, Asuka asserted her own dominance, labeling herself as a “Category 5 Mega Thunderstorm,” indicating she could prove to be a formidable opponent for the former AEW star.
In response to the banter, Cargill is set to make her WrestleMania debut this year, teaming up with former Women’s Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi to take on Damage CTRL in a highly anticipated Six-Woman Tag Team Match.

Following her attention-grabbing introduction, Cargill had the chance to display her prowess in the ring. During a post-main event altercation where Damage CTRL was laying waste to Belair and Naomi, Cargill rushed to the rescue, decimating the faction single-handedly and providing much-needed support for her fellow wrestlers.
With Cargill’s inclusion, the power dynamics on SmackDown are poised to shift, promising intriguing developments in the ongoing feud. As the storm continues to brew in WWE, all eyes are on Jade Cargill as she navigates her path through the blue brand’s competitive area.
