Xsolla has recently unveiled a significant shift in its leadership framework, marking Chris Hewish, the former president and interim CEO, as the new Chief Strategy Officer.
Hewish’s journey with Xsolla began in 2020 when he assumed the role of president, eventually taking the reins as interim CEO last May. Prior to his tenure at Xsolla, Hewish showcased his expertise as the head of the studio at Survios, a virtual reality developer, and also contributed to Skydance’s interactive division.
In December, the company welcomed David Stelzer as president, adding his wealth of experience gained from an eight-year tenure at Epic Games, where he served as a senior director. Meanwhile, Alexander ‘Shurick’ Agapitov, the visionary who founded Xsolla back in 2005, will continue to lead the company as its CEO.
As highlighted by GamesBeat, Hewish’s new role will entail a strategic focus on forging partnerships and fostering collaborations with publishers.
Speaking on his expanded responsibilities, Hewish expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “In my expanded role, I look forward to leveraging my experience and passion for bringing great games to market to further our strategic objectives and continuing to help Xsolla as it enters this next phase of growth.”
