Baldur’s Gate 3 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 emerged as the standout champions at the prestigious DICE Awards held last night in Las Vegas.
In a night filled with recognition and celebration, Insomniac Games claimed a staggering six awards, showcasing their prowess across multiple categories.
Among their accolades were honors for outstanding achievements in animation, character design, original music, audio design, and technical achievement, along with the coveted title of Action Game of the Year.
However, the spotlight ultimately shone on Larian Studios’ celebrated RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3, which clinched the highest honor of Game of the Year. In addition to this prestigious title, Baldur’s Gate 3 secured four other awards, including recognition for its role-playing excellence and outstanding achievements in storytelling, game direction, and game design.
The DICE Awards, organized by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and voted on by the esteemed members of the organization, serve as a benchmark for excellence in the gaming industry.
In a heartfelt tribute, the ceremony also honored the illustrious career of veteran Nintendo composer Koji Kondo, inducting him into the AIAS Hall of Fame. The award was presented by composer Brian Tyler, known for his work on The Super Mario Bros Movie score, underscoring the profound impact of Kondo’s contributions to gaming history.
