Capcom has announced that Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered will launch on September 19 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Priced at $50, this remaster faithfully recreates the original Dead Rising experience with upgrades using Capcom’s RE Engine. It includes modern features like autosaves, improved controls, and better UI, as well as features full voice acting, though TJ Rotolo’s return as Frank West is uncertain.
Players who preorder Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered will gain access to various costumes for Frank West and additional background music tracks. These include iconic outfits like Frank’s original attire, the memorable bee costume from the 2006 release, and Chuck Greene’s outfit from Dead Rising 2. A physical edition of the game is also scheduled for release in November.
Originally launched in 2006 for Xbox 360, Dead Rising garnered acclaim for its unique blend of gory action, real-time gameplay mechanics, and campy stylistic elements. Over the years, the franchise has expanded with sequels like Dead Rising 2 (2010), Dead Rising 3 (2013), and Dead Rising 4 (2016), each contributing to its enduring popularity.
