The Blue World Order, led primarily by Stevie “Big Stevie Cool” Richards, “Da Blue Guy” aka The Blue Meanie, and “Hollywood” Nova, remains one of the most beloved factions in ECW history, despite their brief stint in the company.
Originating as a parody of WCW’s New World Order in 1996, the group initially served as a comedic act to entertain Raven but swiftly gained immense popularity, prompting significant pockets of blue amidst the sea of black t-shirts in the standard ECW crowd.
Recently, Meanie appeared as a guest on Cultaholic’s “Hold My Call!” podcast, where he discussed potential additions to the BWO from the current wrestling world, particularly in AEW.
“Definitely, got to have a guy like Danhausen in there,”
Meanie asserted.
“The BWO provided comic relief. After witnessing someone go through 20 tables, where do you go next? You need to bring the energy down a bit, inject some humor and entertainment, and that’s where Danhausen would fit perfectly.”
While Meanie has previously made cameo appearances in AEW, notably confronting Joey Janela on the October 11, 2021 edition of “AEW Dark: Elevation,” he also expressed interest in collaborating with another wrestling personality, Grado, who made a surprise appearance at the All In event.
“I love Grado, man,” Meanie expressed. “I would have loved to have worked with Grado. I adore him, from his entrance… I’m thrilled they acknowledged him at the Wembley show.”
Grado’s memorable appearance at Wembley alongside Paul Wight and Anthony Ogogo to confront Jeff Jarrett and others during the All In pay-per-view event was a highlight, though he has not yet had the opportunity to compete for AEW since then.
