On the exhilarating journey towards WWE WrestleMania this weekend, a member of The Bloodline, the faction poised for multiple matches in the grandest event of the WWE calendar, dropped a notable name: Brock Lesnar.
Since his clash with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023, Lesnar has remained absent from WWE screens, with his last appearance marked by a respectful handshake with Rhodes post-match.
Yet, Lesnar’s presence lingered in the legal arena due to a lawsuit initiated by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon. The fallout saw The Beast Incarnate vanish from the scene.
Paul Heyman, erstwhile advocate for Lesnar and a pivotal figure within The Bloodline, recently stirred the pot with a bold declaration ahead of WrestleMania. In an interview with NBC Sports Philadelphia, Heyman hailed Roman Reigns as one of the premier performers in wrestling history. Not stopping there, he underscored Lesnar’s undervalued prowess in the ring. However, Heyman deferred naming a third standout due to the influx of burgeoning talents within the WWE:
“Roman Reigns, if you watch his body of work, Brock Lesnar, who is probably the most underrated, underappreciated worker I’ve ever seen. I’ll reserve number three because there is a crop of new talent in WWE that are coming into their own,”
he articulated.
Turning the spotlight onto rising stars, Heyman’s praise extended to Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Rhea Ripley, and Jade Cargill. He emphasized Uso’s late-career renaissance, Breakker’s meteoric trajectory, Ripley’s potential as a future legend, and Cargill’s surprising debut performance at the Women’s Royal Rumble.
With Heyman set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, a prestigious honor scheduled for this Friday, the anticipation builds. Adding to the anticipation, it was revealed that Reigns will have the honor of inducting Heyman into the hallowed halls of wrestling greatness.
