In her latest book “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” which achieved New York Times bestseller status, Becky Lynch opened up about the challenges of writing about her WWE journey.
Lynch embarked on this project during the pandemic shutdown, going into her life as one of WWE’s biggest stars. Married to Seth Rollins with a daughter, Lynch discussed why tackling WWE topics was particularly daunting.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, she highlighted the importance of presenting public figures accurately while staying true to her own experiences and without bias.
“I thought anything involving WWE needed to be handled with great care,” Lynch explained. “You have to have a good representation of them and an accurate representation of them… Let me try and see the other person’s point of view, because these people are in the public eye and you want to represent them in the way that is most honest.”
She emphasized Mick Foley’s advice about not using a book for revenge, opting instead to portray herself as the protagonist of her story. Lynch aimed to handle sensitive topics with care, recognizing the impact of her words on those unable to defend themselves.
Returning to the ring after WrestleMania XL, where she faced Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship, Lynch recently competed against Piper Niven at a WWE Live event in Birmingham, England.
Despite her loss at WrestleMania, Lynch’s return has sparked speculation about her potential resurgence in the championship scene, especially with a new Women’s World Champion set to be crowned on RAW next week.
