In 2021, Marvel Studios launched its first Disney+ series, WandaVision, which combined sitcom elements with superhero drama. Among its notable characters was Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn. After being left powerless at the end of the series, Agatha is making a comeback in her own show, Agatha All Along.

The new trailer reveals that Agatha is determined to regain her lost powers and is relying on a new coven to help her achieve this, showing her ambitious and manipulative nature.

The trailer suggests that Agatha’s quest for power will come at a high cost, one she’s willing to impose on her coven members before considering her own sacrifices. This indicates a more complex and darker exploration of magic in the MCU, expanding beyond what was previously seen in WandaVision. Unlike Doctor Strange’s magic, which is distinct from witchcraft, the series promises a deeper exploration of witchcraft and its mysteries.

During the D23 Expo, the trailer for Agatha All Along was revealed, and Hahn along with her co-stars—Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp—performed “The Ballad of the Witches Road,” an original song by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who also worked on WandaVision. This live performance added a unique touch to the trailer presentation, emphasizing the show’s creative approach.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along are set to premiere on September 18 on Disney+. The D23 Expo also featured other Marvel updates, including a preview of the Human Torch’s costume from The Fantastic Four, and exclusive trailers for Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart. Additionally, Star Wars content was showcased with a trailer for Skeleton Crew, early looks at The Mandalorian and Grogu, and other franchise updates.

Beyond Marvel and Star Wars, D23 offered news on various other projects. Pixar announced Toy Story 5, while James Cameron’s Avatar 3 was given an official title. Clips from Tron: Ares were also shown, providing a broad overview of upcoming entertainment offerings from major studios.
