In late 2023 and early 2024, AEW’s Saraya shared two insightful videos on social media, going into the experiences of female wrestlers.
Through a tongue-in-cheek lens, the series shed light on the array of challenges women wrestlers face, ranging from trivial matters to the toxicity of certain fan behavior.
After a hiatus spanning several months, the series has made a comeback, marking what appears to be its final installment.
On a recent Tuesday evening, Saraya released the third and concluding part of the “We’re Women’s Wrestlers” series.
The video, like its predecessors, featured Saraya alongside several other AEW stars, including Thunder Rosa, Harley Cameron, “Mother” Shayna Wayne, Kris Statlander, Ruby Soho, Deonna Purrazzo, Queen Aminata, former AEW ring announcer Dasha, Kiera Hogan, Taya Valkyrie, Diamante, and Anna Jay, discussing a range of topics.
Although Saraya emphasized that the video was intended for entertainment, its candid exploration of unsettling fan behavior and toxic fandom sparked backlash from some social media users.
One fan went as far as suggesting that the video revealed animosity towards fans within the AEW women’s locker room, prompting Saraya to clap back, urging the fan to respect boundaries and cease inappropriate behavior. She bluntly advised them to “stop telling on yourself.”
The conclusion of Saraya’s series coincides with a pivotal moment in her career. The former AEW Women’s World Champion had been embroiled in a feud with her former Outcast teammate Ruby Soho and Soho’s partner, “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker.
Notably, Saraya’s brother, Zak Knight, secured a victory over Parker on “Rampage” two weeks ago.
However, the storyline appears to be on hold following Soho’s recent announcement of her pregnancy with Parker, marking the couple’s first child.
