During a segment on “Mostly Sports,” Adam Copeland, known as Edge, shared his perspective on the contrasts between his earlier tenure in WWE as Edge and his current stint in AEW.
He expressed how life experiences have enriched his performance, likening it to building a repertoire as a musician or an actor drawing from personal experiences for a role.
Copeland highlighted his extensive television work during his retirement, suggesting that those experiences have influenced his approach in AEW.
Reflecting on his mental state in this stage of his career, Copeland acknowledged his reduced physical speed while emphasizing his enhanced mental acuity.
Despite feeling mentally sharper than ever, he is mindful not to overstay his welcome in AEW. He expressed a desire to exit the ring before becoming a veteran that younger wrestlers reluctantly face, aiming to retain the excitement for potential matchups with him.
He estimated his remaining time in the ring to be around a year and a half. Copeland’s most recent match was at “AEW Dynasty,” where he teamed up with Eddie Kingston and Mark Briscoe in a losing effort against House of Black.
