In a surprising turn of events, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Preston Vance, formerly known as 10, has issued a heartfelt apology to his former stablemates in The Dark Order for his past betrayal.
This emotional gesture came during the latest edition of Being The Dark Order, where Vance confronted his former allies and sought forgiveness for his actions.
For those who may not recall, The Dark Order was one of the most popular factions in AEW during its early days in 2019.
Led by Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, the group’s popularity soared with the addition of Brodie Lee as The Exalted One. However, after Lee’s untimely passing, the faction lost momentum and became directionless.
In November 2022, tensions reached a boiling point when Vance shockingly betrayed The Dark Order and joined La Faccion Ingobernable, led by Rush and Company. This move sent shockwaves throughout the AEW universe, leaving fans and fellow wrestlers alike stunned.
Fast-forward to the present, and Vance has come forward to apologize for his past transgressions.
In a candid admission, he revealed that he was going through a dark phase in his life at the time of the betrayal, which contributed to his substance abuse issues.
“I just want to apologize for what I did,”
Vance said.
“I was in a dark place in my life, and I’m not pointing fingers, I’m not blaming anyone, but you guys kind of enabled my substance abuse.”
This courageous admission showcases Vance’s willingness to take responsibility for his actions and seek redemption.
Interestingly, this apology comes on the heels of Amanda Huber, Brodie Lee’s wife, issuing her own apology to The Dark Order in a previous edition of Being The Dark Order.
Huber acknowledged being short-tempered with the faction and expressed her love and appreciation for them.
As AEW fans look ahead, it remains to be seen whether Vance will return to The Dark Order in the future.
Despite their recent loss to Best Friends on Rampage, the door seems open for Vance’s potential return. One thing is certain – this heartfelt apology marks a significant step towards healing and redemption for all parties involved.
