A group of seasoned game developers known for their contributions to hit AAA titles such as Mass Effect, The Witcher, and Doom Eternal have introduced Fun Dog Studios to the gaming scene.
This new studio stands out as a minority-led venture, distinguished by its unique employee-owned structure.
CEO and creative director Miles Williams is at the helm of Fun Dog Studios. Drawing from his extensive background, Williams brings forth a wealth of experience, having spent four years as a senior concept artist and game writer at Adhesive Games. Additionally, his portfolio includes roles as an art director and senior concept artist for renowned titles like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Star Citizen.
Reflecting on the studio’s mission, Williams remarked, “We’ve contributed to some of the industry’s most iconic games and reminisce about a time when creativity thrived with fresh experimentation, diverse narratives, innovative gameplay, and varied perspectives. This motivated us to establish our own venture, where we could unleash our creativity without constraints.”
“As an independent entity, we’re liberated to chart our own course in game development, creating experiences we’re genuinely excited to play ourselves. Our focus isn’t on chasing fleeting trends but rather on revitalizing elements we believe the industry has somewhat lost.”
Fun Dog Studios’ inaugural project, titled The Forever Winter, promises to deliver a chilling blend of tactical strategy and survival horror. Although a release date remains undisclosed, anticipation for this venture runs high.
