Scopely has officially announced its potential separation from several employees who had been part of its Kingdom Maker publishing division.
According to a LinkedIn post by Amir Satvat, a chronicler of industry job fluctuations, the workforce reductions have impacted approximately 38 individuals.
Scopely clarified to GamesIndustry.biz that these adjustments stem from the conclusion of its publishing collaboration with Kingdom Maker’s developer, Global Worldwide. The company has been diligently seeking alternative positions within its structure for affected personnel.
A spokesperson stated, “While a significant portion of our Scopely team members have transitioned to other projects, approximately 15 colleagues may not find suitable roles within Scopely.” They emphasized the commitment to assisting these individuals in securing external career opportunities through resources and support.
The spokesperson expressed gratitude for the contributions of the affected Kingdom Maker team members, acknowledging the challenging decision.
Additionally, Scopely affirmed its ongoing strategic investment in Global Worldwide despite the operational changes.
