Former WWE Superstar Matt Morgan has expressed his support for the idea of Cody Rhodes enlisting the help of Randy Orton in his ongoing feud with The Rock and Roman Reigns.
While initially stating he wouldn’t challenge The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania, Rhodes changed course at the WrestleMania XL Kickoff event, setting the stage for a confrontation with Reigns.
In a surprising turn, The Rock turned heel and clashed with Rhodes, resulting in The American Nightmare getting slapped.
During a recent episode of the Gigantic Pop podcast, a fan suggested that Cody Rhodes should team up with Randy Orton to face The Rock and Roman Reigns. Matt Morgan, a former WWE Superstar, expressed his approval of this idea, highlighting Orton’s recent fiery persona.
“I don’t hate that because Randy’s been spicy lately himself. He could have some real good comebacks,” stated Matt Morgan.
Randy Orton has been involved in a feud with The Bloodline since his return at Survivor Series: WarGames. Despite competing in a Fatal Four-Way Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble, where he faced Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, and LA Knight, Orton couldn’t dethrone The Tribal Chief.
On the recent episode of SmackDown, Randy Orton secured his spot in the Elimination Chamber by defeating Sami Zayn in a qualifying match.
The winner of the Elimination Chamber match will earn the opportunity to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
Considering the history between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes during their time in WWE, the prospect of The Viper joining forces with The American Nightmare against The Bloodline adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing storyline.
