WWE recently executed a planned call-up from NXT to the main roster after the Royal Rumble, with one of the promoted superstars being strategically integrated into the larger scheme of things.
The 2024 Royal Rumble featured four NXT talents – Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Roxanne Perez, and Tiffany Stratton. While Hayes has been making appearances on SmackDown without an official call-up, Perez will continue her developmental journey without transitioning to the main roster.
Bron Breakker, currently weighing offers from Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, had an unexpected elevation, reportedly stepping in to replace Brock Lesnar. On the contrary, Tiffany Stratton’s transition to the main roster was part of a preconceived plan, according to insights from Aaron Varble of SEScoops.
Varble clarified, “I was told the main roster wanted her, and they planned for the Rumble to be her call-up. Unlike Breakker, she was not spur of the moment at all.” This distinction emphasizes that Stratton’s debut at the Royal Rumble was a meticulously orchestrated move by WWE, contrasting with the impromptu nature of Breakker’s involvement.
Tiffany Stratton, an addition to WWE since 2021 when she signed a developmental deal at the age of 21, has exhibited significant growth, culminating in her NXT Women’s Championship victory. Her notable feud with Becky Lynch and commendable performances in September underscore her potential on the main roster.
Dutch Mantell identified Tiffany Stratton as a burgeoning star in the making. He asserted, “That Tiffany Stratton girl, that’s the first time I’ve seen her. She is a star in the making.” Triple H himself endorsed Stratton following her SmackDown debut, further cementing her status as a promising talent destined for success on the blue brand. The era of “Tiffy Time” seems to have officially dawned in the realm of WWE.
