The highly anticipated free-to-play skateboard simulation game Skate is set to make its debut on PC through the Steam platform. This revelation was officially announced by Cuz Parry, the lead creative writer for the game, in a Q&A video shared on YouTube just days before the holiday season.
Despite the initial announcement flying under the radar, it gained traction when the social media team confirmed the exciting news with a tweet expressing their enthusiasm about Skate being available on Steam for PC players. The tweet also included an engaging question, “What are you going to play skate. on?” alongside the platforms that were already confirmed.

In terms of a release date, there is still no specific information available. Parry did mention that console testing is slated to commence “sometime” later in the current year. He expressed confidence that Skate would be released before the year 2050, though no precise date was provided.
Last year, Electronic Arts (EA) assured players that Skate would not incorporate paid loot boxes or adopt a pay-to-win model.
The company made a commitment to keep map areas accessible without requiring payment and emphasized that there would be no paid loot boxes or gameplay advantages that could be purchased with real money. While the door remains open for in-game currency-tied loot boxes, reports indicate that real-life money won’t be a viable method for acquiring them.
