Diablo 4 enthusiasts, rejoice! Update 1.3.1 has arrived, and its patch notes bring promising tidings for those in the company of a specific robotically.
In what feels like an ongoing cycle of déjà vu, the discontent surrounding the launch of Diablo 4 Season 3 has prompted Blizzard to respond swiftly. Complaints about “monotonous” traps, concerns that the focus on itemization was a “step backward,” and disappointment with the utility of the new Seneschal companion character have all been met with a well-timed update.
Blizzard’s latest patch notes for Diablo 4 detail a comprehensive list of enhancements to the Seneschal’s diverse abilities. The improvements, straight from the source, include:
- Gyrate: Damage increased by 30%.
- Pummel: Damage increased by 30%.
- Bushwhack: Damage increased by 20%.
- Impale: Damage increased by 30%.
- Focus Fire: Damage increased by 20%.
- Lightning Bolt: Damage increased by 20%.
- Firefly: Damage increased by 10%.
- Tempest: Damage increased by 10%.
- Reconstruct: Healing increased from 22% to 32% of Maximum Life at level 1, and at level 10, the healing is increased from 40% to 50% of Maximum Life.
- Frigid Support, Bleeding Support, Electrocution Support, Poison Support, Dusk Support, Burning Support: Damage increased from 50% to 60% of the Supported Skill’s Damage.
Additionally, Update 1.3.1 addresses the community’s longstanding request to adjust the Vampiric affix on monsters. The health stolen from monsters with this affix has been reduced across World Tiers:
– World Tier I: 10% → 5%
– World Tier II: 20% → 10%
– World Tier III: 35% → 15%
– World Tier IV: 50% → 25%
In response to player feedback, Blizzard plans to implement a visual effect in a future update, indicating when projectile attacks from monsters, like a Khazra’s thrown spear, are imbued with the Vampiric affix.
Furthermore, the potent Suppressor affix has been reined in. The duration of its disabling field for ranged attacks is now six seconds, and it can be canceled by stunning, freezing, knocking down, or dazing the monster.
Acknowledging the need for course correction after the initial Season 3 backlash, Blizzard sweetens the deal with two weeks of 50% bonus XP and 30% faster movement. While these incentives may be akin to offering candy to discontented students, Blizzard remains committed to implementing more substantial changes in the near future.
