Sharaputdin Magomedov seems to be stirring up some tension with Michel Pereira, questioning the sincerity of his charity work and criticizing his choice to display an Israeli flag at UFC 301.
Magomedov, known as ‘Shara Bullet’, took to Instagram to call out Pereira, labeling him a “hypocrite” for aiding flood victims in Brazil while seemingly showing support for Israel amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Pereira’s decision to walk out with the Israeli flag puzzled many, especially since he has no direct ties to the country. The Brazilian fighter clarified that he aimed to express solidarity with Israel during the conflict.
Magomedov’s animosity towards Pereira escalated after Pereira’s win at UFC 301. Magomedov had been scheduled to fight Pereira’s previous opponent, Ihor Poteiria, but Pereira’s illegal knee strike during the fight caused Potieria to withdraw, resulting in Magomedov losing his opponent.
Expressing frustration, Magomedov took to Twitter, demanding that Pereira face consequences for his actions and proposing a fight on June 22 in Saudi Arabia to settle the score. However, Pereira responded by clarifying that he had not agreed to fight Roman Dolidze and expressed his desire for some time off after his recent bouts.
