The echoes of WWE’s Backlash Premium Live Event in Lyon, France, are still resonating, and Triple H is already setting the stage for something massive. The electric crowd at the LDLC Arena, which literally shook the ground, was a testament to the growing demand for WWE’s international presence. Before the sold-out event in France, WWE had already made its mark in Italy and Austria, with live events in Bologna and Vienna, respectively, as well as a SmackDown event in Lyon.
In a post-Backlash press conference, Triple H dropped a hint about WWE’s plans to venture further into international territories. One country that caught attention was Italy, which could soon become a regular stop on WWE’s global tour.
This move is part of WWE’s larger strategy to expand its global footprint, following Endeavor’s acquisition of the company in September.
The United Kingdom has already witnessed WWE’s global ambitions, with a successful tour a couple of weeks after WrestleMania XL. Germany is next on the list, with a series of live events lined up for later this year, culminating in Bash in Berlin.
Additionally, premium live events are scheduled for Scotland, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, with Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Money in the Bank in Toronto, and King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah.
The international events don’t stop there, with Mexico, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany all set to host WWE live events in the coming months.
This shift in focus towards global expansion is a welcome change for WWE fans worldwide, who now have something exciting to look forward to.
WWE’s journey to becoming a truly global entertainment powerhouse has only just begun. With Triple H at the helm, fans can expect more international events, and potentially even more frequent visits to countries that have grown to love WWE’s unique brand of sports entertainment. As the company continues to push boundaries and explore new markets, one thing is certain – the world is about to become a much smaller, and more electrifying, place for WWE fans everywhere.
