Sony has unveiled the upcoming list of titles bidding farewell to its PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription tiers in February. Among the departures are popular games such as Resident Evil 7, Tekken 7, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
Fortunately, the theme of game titles ending with the number seven concludes here, with no indication of the number appearing in the remaining seven PlayStation 4 titles listed under the ‘Last chance to play’ section on the PlayStation dashboard.
In addition to the departure of zombie, fighting, and aerial combat games mentioned earlier, Sony has announced that PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will also lose access to Tacoma, a sci-fi narrative adventure, Hue, a color-based platform-puzzler, Thomas Was Alone, an indie favorite, and Lost Words: Beyond the Page.
The final three titles leaving in February come from Square Enix’s Tokyo RPG Factory, with Lost Sphear, Oninaki, and I am Setsuna all making their exit.
While Sony has not specified the exact date for the removal of these games from its PlayStation Plus Extra catalog, based on previous experiences, February 20th, coinciding with the arrival of the next batch of PlayStation Plus additions, seems like a plausible estimate.
For those who prefer greetings to farewells, January has welcomed a strong lineup of new additions to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. These include the Resident Evil 2 remake, Lego City Undercover, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, and more.
