Oddysey Jones, absent from TV screens for about a year, made a surprising comeback this week on WWE RAW. Last seen in April 2023 during an NXT match against Dijak, Jones couldn’t clinch victory despite his size advantage.
However, he continued performing in house shows and dark matches, with his latest bout against Omos just last month.
His draft to RAW on Night Two of the Draft has stirred excitement for his return, a move also highlighted by WWE on social media.
Jones, renowned for his immense strength within the Stamford-based promotion, further solidified his reputation by setting a new trap bar deadlift record at the WWE Performance Center, lifting an impressive 800 lb (363 kg), surpassing Otis’s previous record of 775 lb (352 kg).
Despite his limited accolades, Jones has garnered admiration from fellow WWE Superstar Braun Strowman.
In an interview with Riju Dasgupta discussing powerful superstars, Strowman lauded Jones, stating,
“Right now, there’s a lot of unbelievable young talent that are coming through that are really, really strong. Odyssey Jones, that’s fresh up on the main roster, is one big boy, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s capable of in the next couple of years.”
As Jones returns to RAW, the WWE Universe eagerly awaits how he’ll make his mark on the main roster.
