WWE Women’s World Champion Bayley recently took to social media to bid farewell to her former faction, Damage CTRL, as they transition to RAW following the WWE Draft.
Founded by Bayley alongside Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in 2022, Damage CTRL aimed to revolutionize the women’s roster, achieving success with Dakota and IYO capturing the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
However, internal discord led to a rift within the faction, culminating in a showdown between Bayley and IYO for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XL.
During the WWE Draft, Damage CTRL was selected for RAW in the first round, marking a significant move for the faction. Bayley reacted to the news on Twitter, expressing her sentiments about her former stablemates’ journey to independence on RAW.
“They have officially left da nest…”
Bayley tweeted, acknowledging the departure of Damage CTRL from their shared legacy.
While Bayley remains unaffected by the draft as a protected champion, she faces challenges of her own.
Recent events on SmackDown saw Tiffany Stratton and Naomi vying for the opportunity to challenge Bayley for the WWE Women’s Title. However, the match ended in chaos when Nia Jax intervened, leading to a no contest.
Following the altercation, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced a Triple Threat match for the WWE Women’s Title, pitting Bayley against Tiffany Stratton and Naomi at the upcoming Backlash event.
As Bayley prepares to defend her championship against formidable opponents, the departure of Damage CTRL marks a new chapter for both the faction and the RAW women’s division, signaling fresh opportunities and challenges ahead.
