Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has her eyes set on a dream opponent within the company, although this individual is not currently holding any title or an active member of the roster.
Ahead of her AEW Dynasty championship match against “Timeless” Toni Storm, Rosa shared her aspirations on the “Gabby AF” podcast, revealing her desire to step into the ring with Sarah Stock, who currently serves as a coach and producer in AEW.
Stock, a 13-year veteran known for her time as “Sarita” in Impact Wrestling and as a popular women’s wrestler in Mexico with CMLL, has deeply influenced Rosa’s wrestling journey, inspiring her to pursue a career in professional wrestling.
“She’s like the person that influenced me to become a professional wrestler when I first made the decision,” Rosa expressed.
“She has a lot of similarities [to] me. She’s uber talented, and when she used to wrestle, some of the stuff she was able to do was incredible. She’s an incredible talent.
She was very underrated and I would love to get in the ring one time with her and have a match. I know she would whoop my ass. Put me into a f****** pretzel. She’s great.”
Stock, who achieved success as Sarita, winning the Knockouts Tag Team Championships twice alongside Taylor Wilde and Rosita (now Zelina Vega), retired from in-ring competition in 2015.
Despite her retirement, Stock briefly returned to the ring in 2022 with Robles Promotions in Mexico.
Following her in-ring career, Stock transitioned to a role as a developmental trainer at the WWE Performance Center from 2015 to 2020, before joining AEW in March 2023 after her release from WWE in 2020.
