Former WCW wrestler Glacier, known as Ray Lloyd, delved into the inception of his movie, “The Unbreakable Bunch,” crediting Luther Biggs for the idea.
During the late 1990s, Glacier’s unique persona, inspired by Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero, charmed WCW audiences with his extravagant entrance.
Recently, his film had a theatrical release on April 19, offering fans a new dimension of his creative endeavors.
In an episode of “The Wrestling Time Machine” hosted by Mac Davis, Glacier shed light on the movie’s development:
“This was something that was a long time in the making. Me and my co-producing partner Luther Wilson and who wrestled as Luther Biggs. We met at WCW power plant years ago and this was an idea he had several years ago and finally we said backing around and finally we said you know what, let’s stop talking about it and actually do it,” said Glacier.
Glacier also revealed intriguing details about the film’s approach:
“We wanted to make a movie that was something that anyone connected to professional wrestling, whether it’s a fan, whether it’s guys like us who were involved in the business, we wanted to make a movie that made everyone feel good about being a part of professional wrestling. And this movie doesn’t poke fun at wrestling. It doesn’t, it’s not about the dark side of wrestling, it’s a very I think very family friendly film. There is literally no profanity in the movie, there is no gross humor. What I mean by that nobody is projectile vomiting on each other.”
With its family-friendly theme and unique perspective on wrestling, “The Unbreakable Bunch” promises to be a refreshing addition to the cinematic world.
