As SmackDown gears up for action in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania tonight, The Rock has a strong message for a rising WWE star.
After Cody Rhodes claimed the Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating Roman Reigns, all eyes turn to LA Knight and AJ Styles, set to face off tonight for a chance at Backlash next month.
In anticipation of SmackDown, The Final Boss took to Instagram, delivering a stern warning to Rhodes and hinting at more intense confrontations in the future.
“Congratulations @americannightmarecody, the new @wwe Universal Champion. You bought the Rock ticket, now you’re gonna enjoy the Rock ride — for life 🎟️ 🚀 Open your hand and you take your gift back. Do it again, and I’ll make you bleed even more. You hear me boy? See you down the road – Final Boss,” he wrote.
During Night 1 of WrestleMania XL, The Rock and Roman Reigns faced off against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. The match’s outcome meant that Rhodes and Reigns would clash under Bloodline rules the following night.
The Rock’s warning didn’t stop there. On RAW after WrestleMania, he confronted Rhodes, asserting his intention to come after him in the future.
Meanwhile, wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) praised The Rock’s success but emphasized that, deep down, The Great One remains a wrestler at heart.
“I think The Rock is his own animal. I don’t think anybody is any prouder of him than me because he’s the biggest star in the world… He’ll always be one of us,” said DDP.
