Angus T. Jones made a rare appearance in Los Angeles recently, stepping out in public after largely retreating from the spotlight since his days in Hollywood.
Jones, recognized for his portrayal of Jake, the son of Jon Cryer’s character, in the popular sitcom Two and a Half Men, was spotted taking a leisurely stroll in the sunny streets of Los Angeles on April 18.
Now 30 years old, Jones opted for a casual ensemble, donning a baseball cap, sunglasses, a T-shirt, and gray sweatpants for his outing.
A noticeable change from his earlier days as an actor was his full beard, contrasting with the boyish image he once portrayed on the show.
In his youth, Jones gained fame for his role as Jake, landing the part at just 10 years old. However, after nearly a decade in the industry, he expressed a desire to distance himself from Hollywood.
In a video shared on YouTube in November 2012, Jones urged viewers to stop watching Two and a Half Men, citing conflicts with his Christian faith and the content of the show.
Despite his initial statements, Jones eventually apologized and continued to work on the series until his departure after the season 10 finale in May 2013.
Reflecting on his past comments in an interview with PEOPLE in October 2016, Jones expressed contentment with his life outside of Hollywood, focusing on his education at the University of Colorado at Boulder and his role at an events company.
While Jones has largely remained out of the Hollywood spotlight, he made a cameo appearance alongside Charlie Sheen in the MAX show Bookies in late 2023, marking a brief return to the screen.
