Jorge Masvidal recently clarified his stance on why he won’t be stepping into the ring with Jake Paul, revealing his interest in potentially facing Tommy Fury instead.
Last week, during a promotional event for his upcoming boxing match with Nate Diaz in Las Vegas, Masvidal and Diaz made their feelings clear with a chant of “F**k Jake Paul.”
In response, ‘The Problem Child’ took to social media, claiming to have offered $10 million for either of them to fight him in MMA matches in the PFL, suggesting they were hesitant to take him on.

Here’s Jake Paul’s post:
Two of the biggest names in MMA can’t keep my name out their mouth at their press conference that nobody watched.
Nate already got his ass beat by me & Jorge is literally permitted by UFC to box anyone but me because Dana knows I will put his little ass to sleep.

During a recent press conference in New York City, Masvidal reiterated his position that he wouldn’t be squaring off against ‘The Problem Child’. Instead, he expressed interest in facing Logan Paul and suggested that Logan holds more appeal than his brother:
“Not with Jake Paul, a 100% more likely with Logan Paul. Jake doesn’t sell like Logan. The UFC allowed me to do some boxing matches, but Jake had said some unpleasant things about Dana White and the UFC. So the UFC basically said, ‘F**k you, we’re not going to let you go get money with someone who isn’t the biggest draw.’ I can fight Logan Paul, but Jake Paul’s an a**.”

Masvidal also shared his excitement at the prospect of fighting ‘TNT’ in England:
“Tommy Fury interests me. We can go to England and sell out some arenas over there. He has some matches, and he has a win over Jake. The UFC will let me fight Tommy, so I would definitely go over there and throw down with Tommy at some point.”
In a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, ‘Gamebred’ firmly rejected Paul’s suggestion of an MMA bout, asserting that the YouTuber-turned-boxer wouldn’t stand a chance in the cage against an experienced fighter like himself.
"You can’t even box. Now all of a sudden you’re doing f****** MMA? I’d kick your f****** kneecap off your fragile body. You dumb motherf*****."

When did Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul start their feud?
For a brief period, it seemed like Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul might be headed towards a boxing showdown. However, the likelihood of such a match materializing was never high.
The friction between the two ignited when ‘Gamebred’ threw his support behind Tyron Woodley as the former UFC welterweight champion prepared to face Paul in the boxing ring in 2021.
Interestingly, prior to this, Masvidal had briefly worked with Paul to help ‘The Problem Child’ prepare for a bout against Ben Askren, who had fought both Masvidal and Paul.
