Morning Live host Rav Wilding and his wife faced significant challenges on their path to parenthood. The 46-year-old presenter recently disclosed his separation from his wife, Jill, following an 11-year union.
Their relationship, which commenced in 2012 and culminated in marriage in Barbados five years later, encountered hurdles before the arrival of their daughter, Poppy, in 2020. Rav candidly discussed their struggles with fertility prior to Poppy’s birth.
Announcing their impending parenthood with a baby scan image on Instagram, Rav shared the joyous news, writing,
“We have some exciting news! Our family is expanding and baby Wilding is due to make an appearance next year!”
He acknowledged the challenges they faced, adding,
“It’s been a long hard journey… but we got there in the end,” accompanied by the hashtag #madewithalotofloveandalittlescience.
On Tuesday, April 10, Rav confirmed his separation from Jill through a statement on Instagram, affirming their amicable parting in 2023.
He expressed their commitment to co-parenting their beloved daughter, stating,
“For those asking questions myself and Jill amicably separated last year. Our focus is co-parenting our hugely loved and beautiful daughter.”
Their journey to parenthood was intertwined with personal trials, including a significant injury suffered by Rav one year into their relationship.
While training for the television show Splash! in 2013, the former police officer endured a life-altering injury, snapping his hamstring tendon during a somersault into the pool.
